Court sides with Kaplan in lawsuit over hiring practices

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission used flawed evidence in trying to show that the use of credit scores for applicant screening leads to discrimination, a federal appeals court said this week, upholding a ruling in favor of Kaplan. The EEOC itself uses credit scores during its background checks of job applicants, the court noted.
