Web ad revenue beat broadcast TV in 2013, data show

Online ad revenue surpassed broadcast TV ad revenue for the first time in 2013, rising to $42.8 billion compared to broadcast's $40.1 billion, according to the Interactive Advertising Bureau. Mobile led the charge with 110% year-over-year growth to reach $7.1 billion.
