Michigan Moots Lifting Cap On Charter Schools

A plan proposed yesterday by the Commission on Charter Schools recommends gradually increasing the number of charter schools in the state between this fall and 2017. The commission further recommended greater oversight for the schools and annual testing of students, says a report. Proponents say the proposal would provide parents with more educational options for their children.
