Halliburton spends $240M to acquire Boots & Coots

Halliburton struck a deal to purchase Boots & Coots, which supplies pressure-control services for oil and gas wells, for about $240 million. The transaction will allow Halliburton to form a new product-service line by merging its operations in coiled tubing and hydraulic workovers with Boots & Coots' pressure-control segment and intervention services.
