Meet the world's most expensive dead snake

After a German man lost his deadly monocled cobra -- bought at a reptile trade fair for about $95 -- municipal authorities were forced to spend about $135,000 evacuating and searching his apartment block. The snake was eventually found dead in its owner's apartment; officials say they'll be sending the man a bill for about $80,000. "The snake may have been cheap, but unfortunately what happened next wasn't," one city official said.
