Mo. Senate passes veterinary prescription drug bill

The Missouri Senate passed a bill last week that would put control over veterinary prescription drugs in the hands of the state's Board of Pharmacy and would require veterinarians to maintain records of all livestock prescriptions. The bill doesn't include nonprescription drugs but some farming-supply companies that sell over-the-counter medications are worried that the measure doesn't make that clear enough to avoid future confusion.
