Survey: Doctors rely on drug reps for information

A survey of 508 primary care doctors and specialists found that almost 70% consider information from drug reps when they write prescriptions and 64% use information from industry-sponsored programs. Doctors also cited clinical knowledge and patient feedback as significant factors in prescribing decisions.
