Newly completed renovations at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, Wash., builds on the stadium's concrete foundation. Built in 1960, the stadium, known as The 100 Day Wonder, is made from prestressed concrete. "The people at Concrete Tech, on the Tideflats, were able to assemble a lot of the structure before it arrived at the site. That kind of thing is commonplace now, but in 1960, it was really quite new," said Tacoma sports icon Clay Huntington.
