Cornell is bracing for many veterinary faculty retirements

Over the next decade, 30% to 40% of the faculty at Cornell University's College of Veterinary Medicine will likely be retiring, creating challenges for the school. Regarding new hiring, pathology professor Dr. Alexander Nikitin said, "You want an influx of new minds who have more energy and more input, but at the same time, many of the old faculty are essential to the teaching experience and are extremely productive."
