House committee to review allocation of Calif. HSR funds

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee will look into allegations of conflicts of interest that may have occurred at the California High-Speed Rail Authority. It will focus on how federal funds received for the bullet-train project were used and managed. "Any project of this size should be subject to overview," said CHSRA Chairman Dan Richard. "We, of course, will cooperate with the committee, but do not believe any conflict of interest has occurred."
