Warm weather boosts UK retail sales in March

UK retailers saw sales rise 3.6% in March from the month before, as unseasonably warm weather drove sales of apparel and other non-food items, according to the British Retail Consortium. "The early signs of summer got people buying clothes and shoes for the new season. Gardening items and outdoor leisure also saw a lift," said BRC director Stephen Robertson.
