Proposal to cap ethanol in RFS Reform Act wins support of OPEI

A new bill aims to cap the amount of ethanol that can be blended with gasoline at 10% under the Renewable Fuel Standard. OPEI "strongly supports efforts to hit the pause button on E15 entering the marketplace," said CEO Kris Kiser. "It’s clear that reform of the [RFS] program is needed since the underlying assumptions used to develop the RFS have not been met."
