Retailers learn that cutting out coupons is a bad idea

Couponing will be making a comeback at J.C. Penney now that Mike Ullman is back in charge, writes Emma Rosenblum. Former CEO Ron Johnson's attempt to eliminate coupons and discounts in favor of everyday low prices blew up in his face, and it's unlikely that other retailers will follow that path. "Happy couponing, Penny shoppers," Rosenblum writes.
