Tex. House OKs bill to monitor foster children on psychotropics

The Texas House unanimously approved a bill to require that foster children who are taking prescription psychotropic drugs be checked by the prescribing health care provider every 90 days. Supporters say the bill, which now goes to the state Senate, would help health care providers catch adverse reactions and prevent overmedication.
