Texas port to expand rail systems via $10M DOT grant

A $10 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation will be critical to expand rail capacity at the Port of Corpus Christi in Texas. The money will be used for the Nueces River Rail Yard construction project. "The expansion of the port's rail capabilities is an important logistics project critical to the port's strategic diversification efforts," said Mike Carrell, the port commission chairman. "The Nueces Rail Yard will support the growth of movement of goods capabilities in and out of the port."
