Covidien pays more than $100M for New Wave Surgical

Covidien has paid more than $100 million to acquire New Wave Surgical, maker of a device used to keep robotic and laparoscopic lenses clean, heated and defogged during surgery. The device, originally called the D-HELP kit, has been renamed by Covidien to the Clearify Visualization System.
