European hotel deals soar, but investment risks lurk

With Europe's travel market booming, the value of hotel deals that took place in 2005 increased 73% from 2004 to a record $19.6 billion, according to Jones Lang LaSalle. Investing in European hotels could be risky, however, with factors including the rise in oil prices, the valuation risks of the euro against the dollar and bird flu concerns.
