Nashville highway project grinds on long past deadline

A project to widen the Briley Parkway in Nashville is taking longer than expected and may not be complete until at least the end of June, despite $1.25 million from the state to finish it. The contractor, Nashville-based Rogers Group Inc., is being fined nearly $200,000 per month for missing its accelerated deadline of December.
