Scientific solution for the perfect bacon sandwich

Leeds University researchers tested 700 variations of the classic bacon sandwich, often referred to in the U.K. as a bacon butty, to determine which is best. The study tested cooking methods, as well as different oils and bacons, and concluded the best sandwiches feature crisply grilled, not-too-fat bacon placed on thick slices of white bread.
