Search marketing takes on new importance at media shops

WPP Group is shifting search marketer Outrider from its role within Group M shop Mediaedge:cia to become a search resource for the entire unit, which also includes MindShare, MediaCom and Maxus. The realignment comes amid Interpublic Group's acquisition of Reprise Media and Aegis Group's recent appointment of its first chief global search officer.
