New York facility rolls out Microsoft-powered PHR system

The New York-Presbyterian Hospital introduced a personal health records system that uses two Microsoft platforms -- HealthVault and Amalga -- and grants patients free access to medical data derived from their visits to the facility. Called myNYP.org, the technology allows users to manage and share their information with physicians and other providers, said Dr. Steven J. Corwin, executive vice president and chief operating officer at the hospital.
