Australian teachers say they will boycott tests

Australian teachers will boycott national literacy and maths tests in protest of the government's My School Web site, which union officials say are being used to "publicly brand students and schools as failures in league tables." Julia Gillard, the federal minister for education, said the tests will continue and that parents may help administer them.
