Technological advances with tractor equipment reflect changes in the entire agriculture industry in the past half-century, writes Nathan Phelps. Today's tractors and combines are larger and more comfortable than older models. They are also full of electronic systems and sensors to make jobs easier and more efficient. Todd Niermeyer, a regional manager with a John Deere dealer in Wisconsin, expects more changes in emissions and refinements to visibility and comfort features in some of cabs.
