Teachers are viewed as writers at Washington state school

A Washington state elementary school has adopted a focus on writing and an expectation that all teachers are to be viewed as writers. One teacher said her students read their own work aloud to each other, and students each keep a writer's notebook. Writing is taught on its own and is also incorporated across the school curriculum.
