Unemployed man gathers life stories at $10 a pop

Since being laid off from his job at a Washington, D.C., nonprofit last year, Reed Sandridge has kept busy by handing out $10 each day to strangers and recording their stories on his Year of Giving blog. He has recorded more than 100 encounters, including one with Molly M., who said she plans to spend the $10 gift on Starbucks' skim lattes.
