ATA joins worldwide opposition to change in EU slot rules

The Air Transport Association has joined other airline groups from around the world to oppose a rule change in slot allocations at European airports. "[T]he introduction of new procedures would create the potential for yet additional significant disadvantages," the groups said in a joint statement, arguing that the reallocation of scarce slots would do nothing to solve the underlying issue of capacity constraints at many airports.
