More colleges offer deferred admissions option

As colleges are flooded with applications, some institutions are offering students an acceptance letter -- in a year or two -- if they enroll in another school first and earn good grades. It is unknown how many colleges use the deferred admission or guaranteed transfer option. Some say it offers students a chance to attend their top school, while critics say it may be unethical and can create problems for the interim colleges.
