Study finds self-assessment tool for AD works as well as clinical tool

The Patient-Oriented SCORing atopic dermatitis index allows patients with AD to evaluate the course of their condition using criteria derived mainly from the SCORAD clinical assessment tool. A European study found that results from the PO-SCORAD tool correlate with SCORAD results in children and adults, and AD improved in study participants who used the self-assessment tool. The results of the study are published in the journal Allergy.
