Industry seeks to label products with lean, finely textured beef

Two companies that sell meat that contains lean, finely textured beef are seeking approval of a label to place on products containing the controversial product. The labels, which require approval from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, could help restore consumer confidence, according to the companies. The USDA says it is early in the process and it is unclear when -- or if -- the labels will be approved.
