UP plans $12M investment in Wyo. infrastructure upgrades

Union Pacific will invest $12 million to upgrade rail infrastructure on the line between Granite and Rawlins in Wyoming. UP plans to install almost 69,000 new railroad ties, place thousands of tons of ballast, change tracks along some curves and renew surfaces at grade crossings. Work on the project is expected to be finished in late July.
