For in-room amenities, hotels think it through

Hotels put quite a bit of thought into room amenities. Larry Traxler, senior vice president of design for Hilton Worldwide, said they use white duvets to show guests the bed (and the room) is clean, while Marriott lets employees test other room components such as pillows and remote controls to garner feedback.
