Software helps teachers detect plagiarism

Schools worldwide are using anti-plagiarism software from Turnitin.com to detect whether students lifted copyrighted text from the Internet. The software is capable of cross-checking a document against a 5.4-billion-page database and against every paper the company has processed since it launched in 1996.
