California governor against tax increase for universal preschool

Citing his refusal to raise taxes, a campaign spokesperson said Wednesday that California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger does not support a $2.4 billion universal preschool initiative that will be on the June 6 ballot. Schwarzenegger's opposition to the measure could sway the election, which promises to be a close one.
