Food marketers expand portion-control lines

The market for smaller snack packages continues to grow, with 18 new products introduced last year alone, according to Datamonitor. Kraft Foods, which sold more than $100 million worth of 100-calorie snacks last year, is introducing packs of Ritz Chips and Wheat Thins this week, while Frito-Lay plans to begin selling 100-calorie packs of Sunchips soon.
