Battle brews among UK grocery chains

Waitrose has announced that it no longer will charge for deliveries costing more than £50, setting up a likely battle between it and other large grocery chains, including J Sainsbury and Tesco. "Customers tell us they don't like delivery charges or short-term gimmicks. Prices go up and down depending on the times in the day. It's confusing and it penalises some householders," said Mark Price, managing director of Waitrose.
