Hawaii's air-tour industry beats 10-year safety average

Better technology, stepped-up inspections and a greater internal emphasis on safety helped Hawaii's air-tour business log just two accidents last year, beating the 10-year average. "There's been a very concerted effort on safety, more than ever before in the air tour industry, and maybe that's bearing fruit," said Dave Chevalier, owner of Blue Hawaiian Helicopters.
