Marketers boost spending to woo Hispanic consumers

Companies including Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, Verizon and General Mills have boosted advertising aimed at Hispanic consumers, with General Mills tripling its spending on Spanish-language television. Surveys show that Hispanics spend heavily on basics and like to buy brands advertised on TV.
