Trinity River project bumps against potential "historic property"

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is considering whether to designate a Texas floodway and levee system as "historic property." Such a designation could create an obstacle for planners of the proposed Trinity River toll road. In a report, the Corps noted that the levees have been deemed a man-made landmark by the American Society of Civil Engineers.
