California seeks bidders for proposed $43B rail project

The California High-Speed Rail Authority is encouraging private businesses and investors from Asia, Europe and the U.S. to get involved in the planned $43 billion high-speed rail link that would connect Los Angeles and San Francisco. California high-speed rail officials also asked companies to lobby Washington for funds, as they press ahead with plans to begin construction.
