Deutsche Bank will change U.S. unit to avoid capital rules

Deutsche Bank plans to restructure its main U.S. subsidiary, Taunus, to avoid having to raise billions of dollars in new capital. Deutsche Bank executives reportedly were concerned that the bank would have to offset losses in Taunus division that racked up losses during the financial crisis. The capital injection could hurt Deutsche Bank's capital level, just as EU regulators are conducting stress tests.
