Industry opposes N.Y. effort to disclose household-cleaning chemicals

The New York state Department of Environmental Conservation has issued draft guidance of its plans to enforce a 1976 law requiring disclosure of ingredients using in household-cleaning products. Opponents, including the American Cleaning Institute, say the disclosures will hurt innovation, be costly and confuse customers.
