Local animal groups rally to send food to Japan's animals

In Orange County, Calif., animal welfare groups and local businesses pitched in to collect thousands of pounds of pet food to ship to Japan, where an estimated 20,000 animals are hurt or sick after last month's earthquake and tsunami. Today, the group was scheduled to send off its first load of nearly 40,000 pounds of food, to be distributed by partners of World Vets International.
