Attorneys for BP shareholders seek to amend ERISA case

Attorneys representing shareholders in BP retirement plans are looking to amend their case alleging that false and misleading statements before and after the Gulf of Mexico oil spill caused the stock owned by shareholders to lose value. Last month, U.S. District Judge Keith Ellison dismissed the case, brought under the U.S. Employee Retirement Income Security Act. Meanwhile, BP's attorneys have moved for final judgment.
