Pigs carry parasite that causes diarrhea in people, researchers say

A parasite that causes diarrhea in humans and is especially prevalent in developing countries with poor sanitation systems has also been discovered in pigs, according to new research published in the journal Emerging Infectious Diseases. The findings may help explain how the Dientamoeba fragilis parasite is spread in people.
