FTC approves Pfizer, Pharmacia merger

The FTC has approved the $57 billion merger after both companies agreed to divest pharmaceutical products to avoid anticompetitive effects in nine separate product markets. The products included over-the-counter cough drop brands Halls and Ludens, Pfizer's Viagra and Pharmacia's Dramamine.
