Kmart prepares to emerge from bankruptcy

Kmart must have a bankruptcy judge approve its reorganization plans before coming out of bankruptcy at the end of this month. After shutting down more than 600 stores and raising more than $600 million, the retailer is confident it can return to profitability by next year.
