Additional benefits of vitamin C identified

Researchers find those who took 500mg a day of vitamin C supplements reduced the amount of a protein identified with heart disease, diabetes and Alzheimer's disease. While more research is necessary, the researchers assert the protein in question may be more indicative of heart disease predisposition than raised cholesterol levels.
