Canadian Web pharmacies look to Europe

Canadian Internet pharmacies, hurt from U.S. pharmaceutical companies that have cut back their supply to prevent drugs being resold in the U.S. at cheaper prices, are looking to Europe to supply them with prescription drugs because Europe also has drug price controls. A spokesman for the drug companies warned that importing from Europe holds the same risks and such drugs may be counterfeit and unsafe, but three Internet pharmacies said the European pharmacies are checked to guarantee high safety and regulatory standards.
