FDA's label warnings go to doctors overwhelmed by promotional material

The FDA may require strong warnings on labels similar to that ordered on Celebrex last week, but that does not mean prescribing physicians, let alone their patients, will see or heed them. The warnings to physicians generally come in the form of letters that are overlooked and the doctors often are overwhelmed by promotional material given out by drug company representatives sent to visit physician offices.
