Survey: VoIP awareness increases in U.S., U.K.

The percentage of adults familiar with VoIP in the U.S. has jumped from 36% to 51% in the past nine months, according to Harris Interactive. In Britain, awareness increased from 37% to 46%, the research firm said. However, 41% of people queried in the Britain and 36% of those in the U.S. had not heard of VoIP, suggesting further marketing efforts might be necessary.
